The Gottschalk Project The Green-Wood Historic Fund, through its Saved in Time: The Gottschalk Project, is pleased to announce that the artistic team of Jill Burkee and Giancarlo Biagi has been selected to create the new Angel of Music to adorn the gravemarker of 19th century composer and pianist Louis Moreau Gottschalk.

The year-long competition was held in collaboration with National Sculpture Society. Five Fellows of NSS were asked to create an angel for the legendary musician's grave. Among the finalists: Kirsten Kokkin, Tuck Langland and Myra Weisgold.
