Gold Medal / Charlotte Geffken Prize is given during each Annual Awards Exhibition.

Charlotte Geffken (1902-1987) was a sculpting instructor at the Saranac Lake Craft Guild at Saranac Lake, NY and friend of NSS elected Sculptor Member, Anthony Di Bona (1896-1951).  With her passing, Geffken left NSS an endowment, which funds the prize named in her honor.

The Jury of Awards changes from year to year.  The jury meets in person to view the sculptures selected for each annual exhibition.

On average, fifteen awards are presented, valued over $20,000 dollars.
