Who are we? Where do we come from? What is the purpose of our lives? A lot of people have pondered upon these issues. The idea is always crossing into our minds, and yet it remains a mystery ultimately muddled by trivia. Thus, these thoughts are often dismissed and soon forgotten. Since I was young, I have always been curious about the meaning of life. As a sculptor, sculpting is the language I use to express my thoughts on life, my gratitude to the Creator, my understanding of good and evil, etc. For me, the realistic figurative sculpture is the most powerful art form. Through a holistic approach combing composition, proportion, anatomy, gesture, and positioning, I am able to express my emotions, feelings, and artistic aspiration. Classical art was used by old masters to pay tribute to divine beings and people of nobility. By pursuing this treasured tradition, artists today are able to explore the potential of another Renaissance both artistically and spiritually. I would love to be part of this endeavor.
