As a naturalist wildlife artist, my lifetime goal and ultimate attainment has been and continues to be the creation of sculptures in wood and stone which most accurately represent realism: to capture an animal’s mood, its actions and unique expression, within context to its environment. Although I work in both wood and stone, wood carving has been my primary way in which I articulate the essential aspects of my subject; the feeling and characteristics of wood and chisel meld together to motivate my artistic expression. I live in the rolling farm land and rivers of western Massachusetts.
