Beadwork sculptor Leslie B. Grigsby lives in Wilmington, Delaware, and creates her works using glass seed beads and thread in off-loom bead-weaving techniques, often over cores made of wood or other materials. Leslie’s works variously are inspired by science fiction, science fact, art history and/or Nature. They are included in private or institutional collections in the United States, Canada and Australia and have been exhibited at venues in the US, Canada, and Africa. Technical assistance regarding Leslie's sculptures, especially in terms of woodworking and assembly, is provided by her husband, Lindsay Grigsby. Leslie is a career museum professional, serving as Senior Curator of Ceramics and Glass at Winterthur Museum in Winterthur, Delaware.
