Lynn Forbes Sculpture I am passionate about figurative sculpture and spend every day of the week creating it since 2001, and teaching hundreds of students in my gallery/studio/school in Carlsbad, CA. since 2007. It is the ancient Greek principle of harmony, rhythm and balance in human contours that excites me the most. It is the way in which strong and graceful curves strike a chord in my bones that reverberates in my heart. It is the way that using my own human hands and arms to caress the clay into the profound beauty that I envision… feels like flying. The process that I use and teach is an organic, intuitive method with ceramic clay, in which the eye and body work together the way a musician plays an instrument, which requires no calipers or armature. Sculpture is a life of constant learning and striving to express my vision of beauty.
