I have been exploring the magical properties of clay for over three decades. As a potter I am largely self taught, and have grown to appreciate the potentioal for sculptural work that this medium has to offer. I have most recently focused my skill developement on portrait and figurative sculpture. My mentors on this journey include such prominent sculptors as Eugene Daub, Tip Toland, Philippe Faraut and the late Stanley Bleifeld. Everything I know about the history of sculpture I've learned from Jason Arkles' "The Sculptor's Funeral" podcasts. I live with my very supportive husband in the small town of Shell Lake, Wisconsin, where locals enjoy watching me work in my main street sculpting studio.
