Born and raised in Savannah, Georgia, Susie’s natural artistic talent was encouraged and developed with private art instruction during her childhood. After graduating from the University of Georgia and following a career in graphic design, Susie turned to sculpture and embraced the challenges of working in 3-D. Her public commissions include “Johnny Mercer", Savannah, GA; “Quiet Time” and “Quiet Time in the Park”, Columbus, GA; ”Quiet Time”, Savannah, GA; “Mr Robert Demere”, YMCA, Savannah, GA; “Quiet Time in the Park”, Azle, TX; “Charles Frasier”, Hilton Head Island, SC; “The Garden”, Benson Sculpture Garden in Loveland, CO; “The Garden”, Summerville, SC; "Captain John Parker" and “Samuel Adams”, Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum, Boston, MA; “The Runner”, Savannah, GA; "USMC MGySgt Roy Strickland”, Hospice Savannah, Savannah, GA; “Maj.
