Art making has been with me for as long as I can remember, It has exhilarated, confounded and intrigued me, and continues to do so. In the 60's, my 8th grade art teacher gave me my first sculpture commission in sheet metal, and launched my career in creating and selling art. In 1985, after ten years away from academia, I returned to complete my MFA at Washington State University, and wound up teaching at Columbia Basin College for 15 years, pursuing exhibitions and commission work up to the present. Several years ago, Ann entered my life to completely toss me on my head, and make me rethink my position in the universe, so I married her! We have both been pushed out of the bureaucratic systems we had known, and have redefined ourselves as fully-functional self-employed entrepreneurs. So much for round pegs in square holes!
