Tim Cherry, FNSS, Wins Top Prize At Quest For The West

Tim Cherry’s Migration won the Cyrus Dallin Award for Best Sculpture at the Quest For The West exhibition at the Eiteljorg Museum. The bronze of two swans in flight won the top prize given to sculpture at the exhibition and was on view at the Indianapolis, IN museum from September 9 through October 9.  “I sculpted Migration to show when the seasonal movements start, the animals travel through all kinds of weather above and below the clouds. They travel through the day and through the night to reach their final destination,” says Cherry. “The patina fades from light to dark to represent the transition from daylight to darkness.”
