The exhibition is open to members of NSS (Fellows, Elected, Associates, Allied Professionals and Patrons) in good standing as a benefit of membership*. Works submitted should embrace the theme of spring as a season of birth, new growth, and renewal. Artists may interpret spring in figurative, animal, plant or organic sculptural forms. All entries are subject to jury. All work will be juried anonymously from images submitted. *(Entries will not be valid until membership is paid and confirmed.)
Sculptures may be in any permanent medium. NSS will not be held responsible for any damages. Works of all sizes will be considered, but they may not exceed 100 pounds. All works must fit in the doorway of the NSS gallery which measures 90 inches high by 35 inches wide. Bas-reliefs will also be considered.
January 17, 2020: Receipt deadline for submission.
January 20 – 31, 2020: Selection jury reviews submissions.
January 31, 2020: Notification sent to all applicants.
February 7, 2020: Information due back from artists.
(high-res images, signed contract, submission specifics).
February 10 – 21, 2020: Work received at NSS Gallery in New York City.
March 2 – May 8, 2020: Exhibit opens at the National Sculpture Society gallery.
May 11 – 15, 2020: Works re-crated and returned to artists.

What to Submit
Sculptors will be required to give their name, address, title of sculpture, date, medium, dimensions (height including base, base width and depth, and weight). Each sculptor may submit up to three works with two views of each piece. All work is subject to jury, but it is possible that two works by one artist may be chosen for the exhibition. Three-dimensional sculptures as well as bas-reliefs will be considered.

Jury and Notification
The Jury of Selection will be composed of three NSS Fellows invited by the NSS Exhibitions Committee. Names will be hidden from jurors during the selection process and work is judged by the quality of the work and images submitted. The job of the jury is to balance the show by variety of style, material and subject matter. Notifications will be sent to all artists by email within one week after jury selection.
All accepted sculptors will be asked to sign a brief agreement stating that they agree to lend their accepted work of sculpture for the duration of the exhibition at the NSS Gallery.
Sculptors are responsible for all shipping costs to and from the exhibition. Insurance for individual works in transit is optional and is the responsibility of the individual sculptor.
