The SEWE Scholarship is directed toward an emerging wildlife sculptor. The recipient will have the opportunity to attend NSS’ 2019 Sculpture Conference and the 2020 Southeastern Wildlife Exposition.
Eligibility: Sculptors must have been born between 1983-1998. All applicants must be citizens of or residents in the United States with a social security number.
Jury of Selection: The jury will consist of three sculptors.
Deadline: April 1, 2019
Rewards:
a) Three night hotel stay in New York City
b) $150 stipend
c) Registration fee for the Sculpture Celebration Conference which takes place June 14-16, 2019
d) Entrance to the events in February 2020 at SEWE
e) Complimentary one year Associate Membership with National Sculpture Society
Submission Materials:
1. Images of six to twelve works of animal sculpture (up to twenty-four images total). Images should be in JPEG (.jpg) format. The longest side of the image should be at least 1500 pixels long.
2. A list stating the title, medium and dimensions of the sculpture in PDF (.pdf) or Word (.docx) format.
3. A biography or resume in PDF (.pdf) or Word (.docx) format.
