Topic: A Collector’s Guide to Dog Bronzes
Join MOD Curator Alan Fausel on a collector’s guide to dog bronze sculpture. Using objects from the museum’s collection, the virtual lecture will guide attendees through the history of bronze casting and its various processes. Stellar examples will be used to illustrate what to look for in assessing the quality of a bronze as well as helpful hints on how to identify later recasts and non-bronze reproductions.
