Inspired by the likes of Louise Nevelson, Pablo Picasso, Arnoldo
Pomodoro and Noah Purofoy, I have been using found wood, cardboard and styrofoam to create assemblage sculpture for the past twenty five years.
Creating a piece all begins with a scrap in my studio catching my eye. People ask where I find my collection of scraps, and I tell them it’s from walking with my head down and my eyes peeled. It usually takes me about three months to create and live with a sculpture till I know it’s done and that no other piece can be added, and I usually have two to three works in progress simultaneously.
I love each piece I create so much that it took me years to be able to part with my sculptures, but I finally learned to let go.
