Alexander Sherrod is a New Orleans-born sculptor and Sculpture Department Head based in Savannah, Georgia. He builds large-scale sculptural work for film, television, themed environments and live events. He led the sculpture department on Stranger Things Season 5 for Netflix, was Sculpting Foreman on Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, and holds lead sculptor credits on The Menu, Devotion, Origin and The Underground Railroad. A professional sculptor since 2006 and a member of IATSE Local 479, he spent ten years at Kern Studios in New Orleans. His practice pairs hand-carved EPS foam with 3D scanning, multi-axis robotic milling and large-format 3D printing. He works across Savannah and Atlanta and is open to public and private commissions for monumental sculpture, installations and themed environments.
