Alice Deutsch is a sculptor who likes to focus on ballet dancers, classically posed nudes, and portraits in bronze. After a lifetime in New York, she recently moved to Central Oregon and enjoys hiking, kayaking and snowshoeing in the many surrounding lakes and mountains. She has studied at the Sculpture Center in NYC, the Classical Art School of Long Island and the Art League of Long Island. When commissioned to create a portrait, the subject does not need to be available for long hours of posing, as she can work from a photo shoot. Sculptures are most often created in oil-based clay, and cast in bronze for the finished result.
