Andrew Wilson Smith is an Artist and teacher with a studio practice specializing in representational art and decorative sculpture. Having studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art and the Florence Academy of Art, and having completed apprenticeships with several prominent sculptors, Smith established AWS Sculpture Studio in 2006 and has completed commissions for numerous organizations and educational institutions. Media include stone, bronze, plaster, and mosaic tile. Prominent projects include narrative scenes and Apostles carved into the portal of Clear Creek Abbey, in Hulbert, Oklahoma, architectural sculpture elements at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Knoxville Tennessee, and a limestone baptismal font for a church in Flower Mound, Texas. Smith is currently carving life-size marble statues of Saints, Peter and Paul, for a Cathedral in Missouri.
