Brendan Johnston (b.1984) is a compelling young painter and sculptor dedicated to representational art. Born in New York City, Brendan developed an early interest in fine art and history. In 2008, after graduating from McGill University with a Major in Art History and Humanities, Brendan enrolled at the Grand Central Academy, where he studied academic drawing, painting and sculpture. Now located in Southampton, New York, Brendan is creating stone carvings in various marbles and onyx. He is also creating oil paintings on stone panels. His painting ‘Arcus’ was recently included in the BP Portrait Award exhibition in the National Portrait Gallery in London. Brendan’s work is represented by galleries in California, New York and Massachusetts.
