Clifton Crofford's journey into the world of glass started while at UT Arlington. After countless design classes in the architecture, theater, and art departments, Clifton worked for the university to help develop a new3D facility for the art department. After graduation he and a few other UT Arlington graduates open their own glassblowing facility. While improving his skills and working with galleries and designers in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Clifton began planning a public access community based facility. SiNaCa Studios was born in 2007, and 2010 the studios open to the public; he and the four other founding artists began educating the community about the wonders of glass.
As an artist Clifton's work is based on the world and life he lives. Strongly influenced by symbols both ancient and contemporary, the nature of relationships, the skills required for traditional glassmaking techniques, and the inherent innovative spirit of humanity.
