Colin Poole is known for his classically inspired contemporary realism. Currently, the focus of his work features central figures from the mythology he is writing. His paintings and bronze sculptures have featured prominently in international exhibits and publications including The Wall Street Journal, Beautiful Bizarre, Spectrum, IBA, The ARC International Salon, Masters of Contemporary Fine Art and Ceramics Monthly, among others. He has completed public and private commissions for clients including National Geographic, National Audubon, Spectrum, The Denver Comic Con, Lourdes Cathedral - France as well as numerous Fortune 500 companies. His work includes monumental bronze public art works, most recently for the Carnegie Library in Michigan. He lives and creates with his wife, sculptor Kristine Poole, in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo mountains overlooking Santa Fe, surrounded by their menagerie of birds and beasts. They both became elected members of the NSS in 2020.
