Edward Holecko, born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, is a sculptor with a background in the special effects. He graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2014, where he received a BFA in Visual Effects. Professionally, he has created work for many facets of the entertainment industry, including collectibles, statues, theme park displays, as well as prosthetic make-up and specialty costumes for film and television. For the past 3 years, Holecko has worked in the tech industry at Apple, while still spending many hours studying and creating sculpture at his home studio and at Berkeley-based sculpture collective Dogtown Sculptors. Whether it be sculpting in clay from life or sculpting digitally from photo reference, Holecko loves the process of creating in 3D, the infinite exploration of the human form, and experimentation with different tools, processes, and techniques. When not sculpting, he loves quality time and adventures with his wife, Hana, and newborn son, Zephyr.
