Elisa Vanelli is a sculptor whose work explores the sacred relationship between humans, nature, and the unseen. Born in Italy and having lived in the south of France for over thirteen years, she holds a Master’s degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures. Her devotion to language, informs her understanding of art as communication beyond words. Working primarily with clay, she embraces it as an elemental medium: born of earth, shaped by water, dried by air, and transformed by fire. Her sculptures draw from mythic archetypes and ancestral memory, often merging human and animal forms to reflect humanity’s forgotten wholeness. Some works incorporate internal chambers activated with water and natural materials, inviting reflection and presence. Based in Massachusetts, she serves as Exhibition Chair of the New England Sculptors Association and is the founder of The TideKeepers Foundation. In 2024, she was recognized as a New England Emerging Artist by Art New England
