Emily Bedard received her BFA in figurative sculpture from the Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts in 2009. Emily has public sculpture including a Liberty Statue for the Soldiers and Sailors Monument in Seaside Park of Bridgeport, CT (2010), a bas-relief memorial to Caleb Cushing at Highland Cemetery, Newburyport, Mass (2011), and bas-relief panels and architectural ornament at the Edward M. Kennedy Institute in Boston, Mass (2014). Since 2012, Emily works in New York City designing and fabricating figurative and ornamental sculpture for classical architecture. Through collaboration with renowned architects and designers, Emily strives to celebrate and expand the use of figurative and decorative sculpture within residential, institutional, and civic spaces. Emily has received awards including the 2015 Stanford White Award for Craftsmanship and Artisanship from the Institute of Classical Art and Architecture, the 2014 Dexter Jones Award for Excellence in Bas-relief.
