Frances Violante earned a Master’s Degree in interior design with concentrated studies in art from the University of Connecticut.
As a graduate student she won a national award for her innovative rug designs. Ms. Violante owned and operated a successful interior design firm in Glastonbury, CT. She completed advanced graduate studies in geriatric design from Harvard University, Boston.
Having studied sculpting at both the University of Hartford and Art Life Studio in Port Chester, NY. Frances honed her creative talents through several intensive courses sculpting marble in Carrara and Pietrasanta, Italy.
Ms. Violante received awards for her sculpture from Slater Museum at Norwich Free Academy, The Catharine Lorillard Wolf Art Club, New York City, The Society of CT Sculptors and Lyme Art Association.
Ms. Violante is president of the Society of Connecticut Sculptors and resides in Waterford, CT
Her work is representational as well as abstract.
