Heather Szczepiorkowski (Shep-or-kof-ski) is a New Hampshire based self-taught sculptor who focuses on capturing the essence of her models. Her works range from the determination of a young man's pensive gaze, to the delicate grace of a flower or the playfulness of a sea otter. Heather began her life as an artist through the childhood chore of setting napkins at the dinner table. She would manipulate the napkin into a unique creation for each member of her family. This artist rediscovered her love of sculpting while taking a class on portraiture in clay. Ironically, she attended this class to refine her portrait paintings. She fell in love with sculpting immediately. Her current medium is oil-based clay. Heather has exhibitedat the Salmagundi Club on 5th Avenue in New York City in 2 separate shows. She won the "People's Favorite" at the Cape Cod Museum of Art. At the Best and Brightest Competition in Scottsdale, Arizona, she received a medal for her piece, “Easter Lily Trinity".
