I am a figurative sculptor working with a deep respect for the traditions of the past, yet attempting through the use of the figure to address ideas and issues more relevant to the times we live in; some of my work being deeply personal while other projects emerge from a broader world view. Art for me must reach beyond the formal. Through the use of figure, symbol and gesture, I attempt to tell a story or express an idea -art as metaphor.
