Born in Taiwan, raised in Argentina and now living in NYC. My first contact with sculpting was in 1992, when I joined a neighborhood art workshop in Buenos Aires. The teacher gave us so much freedom that you could choose from drawing, painting, sculpting or ceramics. By then, art was just a 2-hour-a-week enjoyment where time seemed to end much sooner than school hours. In 1995, my sculpture “Baby Tree” was shown on Argentine TV program “Manos a la Obra”. In 2001, as a treat, I took short courses in oil painting, sculpting, metalwork and mold-making & casting at Central St. Martins in London. The love and fun of the past came back. We had a wonderful tutor, Jefford Horrigan, who made sculpting a delight. Courses were brief, but somehow there was a firm belief that someday I would delve into art. In 2019 I opened “Studio 007 Sculpts” on Etsy — and blatantly called myself a “sculptor”. Currently focusing on Food Sculpture. Love every minute of it and happy to be back home.
