I studied ceramics, sculpture, and jewelry making at Kirkland Arts Center, North Seattle Community College, Seward Park Clay Studio, and from Delia Seigenthaler, who I taught and worked with in the Seattle area for many years. For over twenty years I taught classes for children and adults in ceramics, glass and ceramic sculpture, and mixed media, and my home studio. I also taught at Magnuson Park, Ravenna Community Center and the University of Washington Summer Arts Center. I have published four books of poetry and now own and operate The Bellowing Ark Journal, the website is online and is accepting poetry submissions. I believe art teaches us who we are and who we art not. It connects us to our deepest selves and helps heal old wounds. Here we can use all our experience, painful as well as joyous, as fodder for the creative process. The deeper we go the wider and more expansive our art becomes.
