John Robert is the first Egg Shell Sculptor in the NSS history, to have a piece (Spiral Inspirations) selected for the NSS Awards Exhibition show (92nd Annual show). In 2000, John Robert soon discovered his true artistic passion was in sculpting / carving, specifically eggs. His first carved egg was completed in May 2000 (“Enchanted Rose”, relief carved Ostrich Egg). Throughout his career John Robert has collaborated and studied with world renowned artisans in the art of Egg & Gunstock carving. From early on John Robert’s highly intricate and “High Styled” designs quickly became highly sought after, attracting an eclectic clientele of celebrities and serious art collectors. The majority of his works are commissioned pieces, that remain in private art collections. Considered a master egg sculptor / carving artist, John Robert is humbled to be recognized and honored with numerous Global awards, articles and public recognitions. John resides in the South of France with his husband.
