Balancing classical inspiration with contemporary expressive realism, Kristine Poole’s clay and bronze figurative sculptures highlight the beauty and inherent narrative qualities of the human form. She often juxtaposes multiple forms of communication, layering body language with inscribed text and metaphor, creating layers of meaning.
Winner of the 2020 Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize Sculpture category, her work has been honored in numerous international competitions, including the Fred and Cheryl Newby Patrons Award at NSS' 89th Annual Awards Exhibition. Her sculpture is often featured in publications, including the Wall Street Journal and Masters of Contemporary Fine Art.
Kristine regularly accepts private and public art commissions. She frequently gives demos, teaches workshops, judges contests and lectures on the business side of art-making. She currently lives in the foothills of the mountains in Santa Fe, NM with her husband and collaborative partner Colin Poole.
