Kristen Visbal was born daughter to an American Foreign Service diplomat and a painter. A bronze sculptor raised in the United States, she attended the University of Arizona in Tucson and earned a Bachelor of Arts summa cum laude from Salisbury State University, Salisbury, MD in 1995. Visbal studied the process of lost wax casting at the prestigious Johnson Atelier Art Foundry in Mercerville, New Jersey from 1995—1998, apprenticing in mold making, patina and wax chasing and teaching a mold workshop. Visbal lives in the United States on the Delaware Eastern Shore and has managed her clay modeling studio, Visbal Fine Bronze Sculpture, in Lewes, Delaware since September 1998. Migrating to art from a career in regional hotel sales, Visbal worked with the large community of national association meeting planners, was treasurer of the Society of Government Meeting Planners and coordinated a city-wide blood drive. Kristen Visbal has created numerous notable works.
