Leigh Brooklyn is a Cleveland-based sculptor specializing in figurative work rooted in a deep understanding of human anatomy and form. She studied Biomedical Illustration at the Cleveland Institute of Art, developing the precision and structural knowledge that underpin her practice. Her early career included work with institutions such as the Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals, and Case Western Reserve University, refining her ability to translate complex human subjects into dimensional form. Brooklyn works across materials and processes including stone carving, clay, bronze, welding, and auto body painting. Her practice expanded in 2019 to include large-scale sculpture and fabrication, where she further developed skills in monument, architectural carving and industrial techniques. Centered on the human figure, her work explores resilience, leadership, and women’s empowerment, bridging fine art and public installation with technical rigor and expressive depth.
