Mary is a full time sculptor living in the countryside alongside deer, hawks, ravens and owls, and her flock of vultures. Mary studied Art History, classical Studies and Archeology, at university and continued further studies in Ceramics and Textiles with Masters Studies. She has started studios in Toronto and Stratford, has worked at residencies in Canada, France and in the United States. and now has a quieter studio in the country. Mary has exhibited widely in Canada and overseas. Her distinctive sculptural work reflects the strength and mastery that come from tireless work and study along with a firm understanding of the potential of her medium. Mary’s current work explores powerful new avian works exploring myth and folklore and its tie to biodiversity.
