Michael creates figurative sculpture an mixed media work that explore living in a post-humanistic age. In addition to his sculpture work, Michael is the author of "The Artist’s Guide to Drawing the Clothed Figure," and "Figure Drawing in Perspective," both published by Penguin Random House. He holds an MFA in painting from the New York Academy of Art and a BA from Wesleyan University. He was awarded the John Hovannes Memorial Scholarship and the Nessa Cohen Memorial Scholarship from the Art Student’s League of New York in 1990. In addition to having exhibited his sculpture and painting in local and national shows, he worked for many years as an art instructor, graphic designer, art director, and software engineer.
