O’Gormley works from his home studio, carving his original work from wood and stone. Careful to avoid the harvest of living wood, he works with dead down material. His artwork has been featured in group and solo shows across the country; Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum (WI), National Museum of Wildlife Art (WY), Bainbridge Island Museum of Art, and Woolaroc Museum (OK). His artwork is represented by Smith & Vallee Gallery (Edison, WA), Gerald Peters Gallery (Santa Fe, NM), and Simpson Gallagher Gallery (Cody, WY). Fine Art Connoisseur magazine selected O’Gormley for its “Up and Coming Artists: Three to Watch” feature in 2017. In 2019, he was honored with the Southwest Art Award at the Coors Western Art Exhibit (Denver, CO). He was featured in American Art Collector magazine for his recent solo exhibition at Bainbridge Island Museum of Art in 2020 and was honored to show with Woolaroc Museum retrospective and sale in 2021.
