Richard Becker, FNSS, is a nationally recognized sculptor known for his emotionally resonant bronze busts, realistic portraiture, and large-scale public art. He has created over a dozen Emmy Hall of Fame busts for the Television Academy, including Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Shonda Rhimes, Joan Rivers, and Katie Couric. His work is held in the permanent collections of the City of Palm Springs, Scripps Research Institute, and Miramar National Cemetery, where his POW Memorial honors American service members. Becker has completed multiple commissions for Fox Studios, and his sculptures have been curated by the Oceanside Museum of Art for the Hyatt Seabird Resort. Known for his collaborative process and technical fluency, he works in bronze, stainless steel, and CNC-milled stone, creating legacy works for civic, institutional, and private clients across the U.S. “My goal is to sculpt not just a likeness, but a presence — something that breathes with the subject’s spirit.”
