Rowan St. Clair is a multidisciplinary artist focused on sculptural relief and large-scale work. Her practice centers on the human figure and classical proportion, using it as a framework to build forms that feel both structural and alive. She works across cement, steel, copper, plaster, foam, metal mesh, and fiberglass, combining materials to create pieces that hold weight, texture, and movement. Her sculptures push off the wall and into space, blurring the line between body, architecture, and environment. She incorporates light into her work to deepen form, cast shadow, and shift how the piece is experienced over time. Working at a large scale, she is interested in how proportion operates in real space—how a form can be felt physically, not just seen. Alongside her studio practice, she leads Bejuco, a nonprofit that expands access to arts education through community-based programs and public work.
