Sharon Cruson is a sculptor based in North Idaho. Her passion for art began early with private lessons from a neighbor, eventually leading to a lifelong journey in visual expression. After moving to the U.S. in 1991, Sharon balanced family life and full-time work while honing her skills. A pivotal mentorship with artist Tallman Miller deepened her understanding of casting and form. Further training with Terry Lee and Philippe Faraut refined her classical technique. Sharon specializes in representational sculpture that honors human dignity, cultural heritage, and the spirit of American history. Her work emphasizes expressive detail and often highlights underrepresented historical figures, especially women. She works in clay, hydrocal, resin, and bronze, and has been juried into numerous regional art festivals.
