FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 20:  Basile Auditorium, Indy Art Center, Indianapolis, IN

Richard McDermott Miller Modeling Competition was held Friday, September 20, 2024 at the Indy Art Center in Indianapolis, IN. Competitors sculpted a bust from a live model for 4 hours.  This year the competitors included:

  • Heather Personett
  • Maia Williamson
  • Joseph Zovickian

At the conclusion of the competition, a jury was brought in to award prizes to the three best portraits.  Tuck Langland, FNSS; Jacob Dobson, NSS; and Oliver Hildebrandt, Interim Art Director, Herron School of Art + Design served on the Jury of Awards.

The three prize winners were:

Eddie Holecko (Third Place – Walter & Michael Lantz Prize);

Samuel Davis (Second Place – Roger T. Williams Prize)

Heather Personett (First Place – Richard McDermott Miller Prize)
