BORN IN BRONZE: The Sachem Daniel Nimham Sculpture

A film screening and talk at the Stockbridge Library, Stockbridge, MA
Sculptor Mike Keropian and filmmaker Jeff Hodges will give an introduction before the film and will take questions at the end.
An earlier screening on, October 5th, 2024, took place at Old Town Hall Theater in Brewster, NY. An additional screening happened on Monday, October 14, 2024 at Locust Grove Estate in Poughkeepsie, NY.
“The Creation of the Daniel Nimham Sculpture” is a documentary about the Sachem Daniel Nimham sculpture installed last year in Fishkill, NY. Ninham was both a Wappinger Indian and Revolutionary War hero. The Cultural Arts Coalition sponsored this informative film about an ancient sculptural process still in use today, and about the contributions made by indigenous peoples in the creation of our country – even in the midst of their exclusion and annihilation.
