Join Fred X Brownstein, FNSS, for a lecture and a live demonstration of marble carving at the Salmagundi Club. He will demonstrate how various tools are used to remove stone, with a Powerpoint video showing how techniques are applied to create figurative sculpture. Brownstein will teach the audience how to “read” the tool marks to understand how Michelangelo used these same methods to carve his masterpieces.
