This summer 2023, NSS Fellow Heidi Wastweet steps down as president of the American Medallic Sculpture Association (AMSA) . Wastweet began her sculpture career in 1987 and served as AMSA treasurer from 2003-2009, 2nd Vice President from 2009-2016 and president since 2016.  She continues to sculpt and make medallic art from her home in California.  AMSA announced Mark Benvenuto as its next president and there are two upcoming exhibitions for the organization in LA County and at Brookgreen Gardens.
