Jacques Pepin
Stone Acres Farm is now the site of a bust of Jacques Pepin by sculptor Zenos Frudakis.
The Farm, in Stonington, CT, is home to the Yellow Farmhouse Education Center, a space to preserve and celebrate culinary, agricultural and cultural heritage through cooking classes and other education programming. The Center partnered with the Jacques Pépin Foundation to host a Harvest Tribute fundraising event on Oct. 13. The day included a harvest festival with farm-inspired activities, live-cooking demonstrations, an artisan market, pétanque, food and live music. Guests celebrated the unveiling of the bust with a champagne toast. A cocktail reception and dinner followed.
Zenos Frudakis’ work includes sculptures of historic figures such as Benjamin Franklin, Albert Einstein, General Eisenhower and Sir Winston Churchill, as well as contemporary figures like Michael Kahn and Jack Nicklaus.
