The bronze figures of Boston’s Women Memorial now have voices! In celebration of the 20th anniversary of NSS Fellow, Meredith Bergmann’s creation, the sculptures of Abigail Adams, Phillis Wheatley, and Lucy Stone can now engage with the public. By scanning a nearby QR Code, each historic figure tells her story.  Part of the Talking Sculpture Project, the voices are supplied by three prominent local female Massachusetts figures:  Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Campbell as former first lady and abolitionist Abigail Adams, Rep. Ayanna Pressley as formerly enslaved published poet Phillis Wheatley and Boston Mayor Michelle Wu as women’s rights advocate Lucy Stone.
