NSS Fellow and former NSS President, Richard Blake, is one of five artists chosen to design Philadelphia’s Marian Anderson sculpture.  The proposed piece will honor the late contralto and civil rights leader to be place at the Academy of Music. Blake and fellow artists Vinnie Bagwell,  Branly Cadet, Tanda Francis, and Alvin Pettit were chosen from a pool of 51 artists.  The final selection will be made in September. The proposed sculpture will stand at Broad and Locust Streets, outside of the Academy of Music in Philadelphia, PA.
