Zenos Frudakis created the Welcome Fountain for Elmwood Park Zoo in Norristown, PA. The Zoo began humbly, decades ago, with a small family of deer, so the Director asked Frudakis to design the entrance to the Zoo reflecting these origins. The fountain piece features a buck at the top of the precipice and a fawn outside of the fountain area for children to appreciate hands-on. A doe, drinking from the stream, was just added this April 2025. An additional animal will be added this fall, a bronze jaguar peeking out from behind the waterfall, looking at the fawn.
