Associates Online Invitational
exhibition
The National Sculpture Society is pleased to present the Associates Online Invitational. The open-themed exhibition features the works of 38 NSS Associate members. Artists were asked to submit work completed within the past year. Associates make up the largest membership group of the National Sculpture Society; the range of sculpture submitted reflects the talent, backgrounds, and interests of the individual artists. Fellows (FNSS), Elected Members (NSS), and Associates comprise the three types of membership in the organization which is international in scope and appeal.
Highlights of the show include leaders of the Civil Rights Movement; a 3D printed shark; a bronze sock puppet; and a portrait of a father bested by his own toddlers. The dozens of figurative and animal sculptures on display run the spectrum in size from heroic to table-top, from three-dimensional to bas-relief, and employ a variety of media including bronze, marble, wood, ceramic, plaster, and steel.
