Winners of the Texas and Oklahoma NSS Community Sculpture Exhibition Announced

On December 2nd, the Texas and Oklahoma NSS Community Sculpture Exhibition opened at Arts Fort Worth in Fort Worth, TX.  The Jury of Awards convened prior to the opening day reception to decide the three top honors and for this exhibition which is on view through January 28, 2023. Darrell Davis, FNSS; Garland Weeks, FNSS; and Andrew Eschelbacher, Director of Collections and Exhibitions, Amon Carter Museum (Fort Worth, TX), served as the Jury of Awards. The top three prizes were awarded to the following sculptors (in ascending order):

3RD PRIZE:  Robert Pratt for Self Contained

  • Pyrology Foundry & Studio – $500 credit toward casting
  • Jade Patinas – $250 credit toward patina repair services
  • Sculpture Books from the National Sculpture Society Library
  • One-year complimentary NSS Associate Membership valued at $75
  • NSS website & social media posts

2ND PRIZE:  Allison Streett for Becoming

  • Pyrology Foundry & Studio – $500 credit toward casting
  • 3D-Sculpture Photography Package – $300 photography package with Andy Lay Photography for a composite light painting digital image of a single 3D sculpture
  • Three-year complimentary NSS Associate Membership valued at $195
