Austen Brantley
Detroit artist Austen Brantley has work included in two fall exhibitions. His solo exhibition at M Contemporary in Ferndale, MI is titled Galatea: Myth, Love, and Transformation, and runs from from September 21 – October 19. The exhibition intertwines the rich narratives of Greek mythology with influences from African art, presenting a unique exploration of beauty, creation, and cultural dialogue through contemporary and classical sculpture. Brantley is currently the Artist-in-Residence at Indy Art Center in Indianapolis and is part of a two-person exhibition at Fishers Art Center in nearby Fishers, IN. The show, Interwoven, is on exhibit through December 1, 2024.
