John Cavanaugh sculptures in Washington, DC

The John Cavanaugh Sculpture Garden is expanding across the Washington, DC area. Neighborhoods adjacent to DuPont Circle are populated with several of the late sculptor’s bronzes. The sculptures, placed in pocket gardens, pay tribute to the memory of John Cavanaugh (1921-1985) who resided on 18th St NW, and was very active in the DC art scene. Currently four sculptures have been installed with plans for placing five more in the area.
